With the summer holidays fast approaching, we decided to create this ‘fishy’ display! We all really enjoyed taking part in the Something Fishy programme and learned so many new and interesting things. As a memento of our work on this
Seahorse
In pairs we wrote reports about the seahorse, another sea creature with an fascinating life cycle. Afterwards we took one interesting fact from each report and put them together to create a poster. We also painted seahorses in watercolour.
Pond Dip
We visited our local river with Michael and his colleagues and examined many varieties of river insects and fish. We also discovered that the quality of the river was very good.

Our Field Visit
We had a wonderful afternoon on our field visit to a local river. It was completely hands on and a great follow up to our something fishy lessons. We got to examine real fish and the insects that live in
