The senior children in Masterson N.S. really enjoyed learning about The Water Cycle.

We used the kettle to do the condensation experiment. We were amazed to see the steam turn into water droplets so quickly!

We also worked in pairs to design some creative Water Cycle displays. Look at the photos of our wonderful work which is now on display in our school.

Seniors had fun predicting how much water would be wasted from a dripping tap in just ten minutes. Then we set up the measuring jug under a dripping tap and used a stop watch to time it. We were shocked to learn that in just ten minutes 100ml of water is wasted from one tap!

We enjoyed working out how many millilitres of water a dripping tap would waste in one hour, one day, one week, one month and even for one whole year. This got us thinking about how we can conserve water in our school and homes.

We are very grateful for fresh, clean water.
