We really enjoyed Lesson 1 and found some lovely interesting facts in the lesson.

C.Mc & V.B were surprised that only 3% of the world’s water supply is fresh water.

E.O’C thought the fact that the average person uses 150l of water a day was quite interesting and that it seemed like quite a lot to use. That initiated a conversation on ways we could save water at home!

We enjoyed the experiment about the dripping tap. We were shocked at how even a very slight drip from a tap amounts to a lot of water waste over the course of the day, a week etc. H.O’C calculated that from our dripping tap we would waste 5.76l daily. This is quite a substantial amount by the end of the day and it will hopefully prompt us to repair leaky taps quickly rather than ignoring them.
